Leo and Teri Santucci are the owners of Team Santucci. They live in Willimantic, CT with their "dog-ter", Moxie. Their two human daughters are both grown.

Leo is the noted author of the Chevy Inline Power Manual, as well as numerous articles for the "Twelve-Port News". Teri has been involved as pit crew and photographer, as well as wife and confidant.

The couple was well known throughout New England for their unique and fast line 6 powered 1950 (blue) Chevy coupe, which they campaigned up until a near fatal crash in August, 2003. This car was a legend at Connecticut Dragway where it went a whole season undefeated in NHRA N-stock class. Later it was modified to a gasser and, eventually to a bracket car. Competing in Pro-et class (10.9-12.00), it was a serious obstacle for any V8 powered car to overcome. The car went on to win a major nostalgia event before Connecticut Dragway closed down.

Racing only sporadically after that, Team Santucci managed two finals at Lebanon Valley Dragway nostalgia events, running a best ET of 11.18 at 115.69 MPH normally aspirated.

In 1999 Teri and Leo began work on a turbo engine. This engine debuted in 2000, running a best of 10.02 at 131.15 MPH.

A bizarre accident in 2003 at the New England Hot Rod Reunion ended the 1950 Chevy’s life with a spectacular roll over at 125 MPH. Teri and Leo made a decision to concentrate on a new car as team owners and seek a competent driver.

A 1954 Studebaker Starlight pillared coupe was acquired and became the home of the Turbo-line 6 engine.

Team Santucci’s goal is to have the quickest and fastest full-bodied Chevy Line 6 powered car – ever!

Hang on for the ride!
